wedding shoe redux

I just can’t figure it out. How do you choose just one pair of shoes?

My dress is simple and elegant and beautiful. A chiffon, grecian-inspired, drapey, strapless, sweetheart neckline gown. The bridesmaid dresses are wearing a Lotus (purple) Maggy London chiffon one shoulder dress. I’m also wearing a silver and diamond necklace that my grandma wore in her wedding, and a pair of sapphire and diamond earrings that were also my grandma’s.

So, I have purple, blue, silver…but I keep looking at gold shoes. Can you do that?

These are technically “Steel,” and I really like them.

But I also love:

Sigh. Well, they’re at a wide variety of price points. I guess that’s a good thing.

do over, boots edition

Unfortunately, I wound up HATING these boots from Aldo. Seriously loathing them. The toe was not even remotely pointed, which made me look stunted and my foot look clunky. So I’m in the market for replacement boots, as I really do want a pair of nice tall dress black boots, with a little visual interest – those pleats were pretty cool.

What I really and truly love are these boots, but unfortunately, they’re only mid calf. Why do they even make these? What’s the point?

Instead, it’s between the Landgraf and the Tingwald. For now. Aldo has a great return policy, with no time restrictions, so I may dally on this decision for a bit.

What I Want Wednesday – an exciting look alike

I’ve been in love with these Jimmy Choos for a very long time. I love the keyhole, I love the back zip on the heel and the way that that will keep your foot firmly in place. I do not love the price so much.

Stumbled across these today, and I think they’re an awesome representation of most things I loved about the Jimmy Choos, and at 1/20th the price! Plus, a much more wearable, versatile black.

assymetrical military jackets – comparison shopping!

I stumbled across French Connection’s SAM Military Jacket earlier today, and I think it is just too beautiful. Wouldn’t you agree? Unfortunately, it’s $598. Too rich for my blood.

I decided instead to look for jackets done in the same style and spirit:
